Welcome to Intermediate Bootcamp!
Welcome (or welcome back) to camp! We're looking forward to spending the next three days with you, exploring and learning more about digital photography in this great setting. We will use this weblog as a place to post resources, interesting links, and to share thoughts and observations.
And now is the chance to get started! Please click on the Comments tab at the bottom right corner of this posting, and take just a minute to introduce yourself, where you teach or work, and describe what you are hoping to learn while you are here at camp.
Thanks
Conn, Anne, Ed and Mark

Hello,
I'm Nancy Miller. I work in the Kent School District as an ITS (Instructional Technology Specialist) at Pine Tree Elementary. I work with K-6 students and also assist the staff.I'm excited to learn more about Digital Photography.
Hi Conn. It's great to be back with y'all! I teach elementary PE in Northshore School District near Seattle. I am hoping to continue my learning and maybe even help others continue theirs. Let the fun begin!
I am Grants Manager at PSESD. I took the beginning Bootcamp last summer and had a great time. I hope to complete my African slideshow over these three days, and enjoy the beauty of Pack Forest.
I'm looking for hints and tips to help create compelling photographs.
I'm also interested in learning a few techniques to better teach photography and image manipulation.
Hi All. My name is Tom, I'm from Washougal. I have been the Alternative High School Administrator and Technology Director there for the last 15 years. I am moving into a new position as the Technology Specialist or "Coach" for all K-12 Teachers in charge of Staff Development for using technology to increase instructional skills. I am here to play and to try to gather general information to be able to share with teachers across the board at all grade levels and subjects. I have just returned from Yakima and the OSPI Summer Institute. It has been a long week, so that is why "play" comes first.
Hello! My name is Mary Allen, and I am the Computer/Technology Specialist at the Meridian School, an independent K-5 school in Seattle.
I have been a photography buff since Jr. High, and have taught digital photography to 3-5th graders after school for the past 4 years.
I'm looking for ideas of integrating digital photography in my curriculum, both my own and the children's work.
Looking forward to the next three days!!
My name is Jocelyn Flitton and I teach 3rd grade and Spanish Literacy in Wenatchee, WA. Digital Photography Bootcamp was informative and challenging for me so I'm expecting even more from this class.
I'm excited to be here again and looking forward to learning new things and refining older skills.
My name is Joan Turchin. I teach at Riverview School District as a classroom teacher and technology trainer. I personally love learning new things and technology is always new and changing. I hope to be able to go back and use this "new learning"
in my personal and professional life.
Sharing with my students and peers "the Joy of....technology"
Work: I'm an elementary P.E. specialist/tech coordinator in Granite Falls. I've also been a classroom teacher (3rd, 4th, and 6th). I've taught in Salt Lake City, for DODDS in Germany, and now back to Washington where I grew up.
Play: I'm an outdoor sports junkie. My father was a climber and skier who got me started at a young age (My 1st time up Rainier the same day Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon). These early trips to the mountains sparked my interest in photography, and still keeps me going strong.
